It's not fully ready, and it probably can't be mass-manufactured and installed at present.

Oh its ready and has been in use by Israel. They developed it and offered it to the US military but they are not using it because some US contractor has already won the government bid to make our own system which I think will be ready by 09. Meanwhile our guys are getting killed and this thing could stop some of that. Sad times...
