This is what happens if you strap a chopper down while its running. The forces of the rotors rip it apart!

This is absolutely a phenomenon of standing waves/resonance, just like the infamous Tacoma Narrows bridge destruction. It was NOT trying to take off, just idling; notice that the restraint chains are slack.
