WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Supreme Court appeared ready Tuesday to endorse the view that the Second Amendment gives individuals the right to own guns, but was less clear about whether to retain the District of Columbia's ban on handguns.
Reuters is reporting that the 31 year-old law banning hand guns in Washington, D.C. will be reviewed by the Supreme Court in the first half of next year. A U.S. Appeals court has already struck down the law on the grounds that it violates the Second Amendment of the Constitution.
