Tank vs. Safe

The Brainiac boys are at it again, this time they are testing a new safe design. If all else fails, use a tank round to get it open! They recruit the British Army and their Challenger II tank to take a few shots at it. This is one hell of a weapon, but to say it's "the best tank in the world" is a little presumptuous. I bet an Abrams crew would have hit it on the first shot. :) Bollox!

The Abrams uses a smooth bore cannon that shoots a round that reaches a mile a second. They can also put a round through a target the size of a window at a mile. The smooth bore allows for faster rounds, and the computerized fire control system allowes for awesome accuracy.

The British tank is a very good tank, but the Abrams is better. Sorry

mmmm....I stand corrected. Sorry for being a know it all, drunken, arrogant fucktard. Although.... I don't see a huge difference between smooth bore and rifling having a huge difference on short range accuracy on a small target. Am Iafe to say that I was right in that the fire control systems linked to the main gun are only calibrated to hit larger targets though?

Yes the Challenger is a VERY capable tank! If they had been shooting at another tank at that distance, your right they would have been good hits. I only wrote the comment about the Abrams crew to bug my English buddies.:)

Whatever fool, the Abrams and the challenger both use the same Rheinmetall 120mm Gun and very similar optics and fire control onboard computers. The main armament isn't designed to hit targets that small, that's what the coaxial MG is for. Stupid Yank.

They do not use the same gun tough guy. The Abrams uses a 120mm SMOOTH bore cannon and if you look at 1:40 you will see the difference. Stupid wanker.

I saw plenty left after the tank round. Wonder if their cup is completely empty...

I'd like to get one of those, wonder how much they cost. I can't find any 'Brownlow' or 'Brownload' safes anywhere.

I don't think that was worth it to get 200 pounds or whatever that was.
