Ok people here's a demonstration of why you should always keep your fingers away from the end of the cylinder when firing revolvers. You can blow your dam finger off.

Well, I do believe he is right. You should keep your finger out of the way. BUT the demonstration is fundamentally flawed: a hotdog breaks from any quick snap - even say... recoil.
